How do I start a knitting course?
Access Beginner
Start with the Beginner Path lesson set. It’s structured as short skill blocks: casting on, knit/purl, tension control, and simple finishing. Each lesson includes a quick check so you’ll know exactly when to move on. If you’re unsure, open the “Ask a question” form and tell us your goal (scarves, socks, sweaters) and the yarn you have.
Average setup time: 7 minutes Suggested needles: 4.0–5.5 mm
What devices can I use to watch the lessons?
Access Video
Lessons work on modern desktop and mobile browsers. For the cleanest experience, use the latest Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. If you’re on a small screen, rotate to landscape for stitch demos—our player keeps the controls minimal and text high-contrast.
Minimum: iOS 15 / Android 10 Recommended: stable Wi‑Fi for HD
Do you offer a trial or sample lessons?
Billing Preview
Yes. We include a small set of sample lessons inside the platform so you can check pacing, camera angles, and explanations before committing. If you’re deciding between beginner and intermediate, search for “tension” and “increases” here—those answers link to the exact skill sets you’ll practice.
What is your refund policy?
Billing Policy
If a course isn’t the right fit, request a refund within 14 days of purchase. We may ask which lesson you reached so we can improve the learning path, but your access isn’t interrupted while the request is processed.
Typical processing: 3–5 business days Refunds return to original payment method
How much time should I practice each week?
Learning Habits
Consistency beats long sessions. Aim for 3 sessions of 20 minutes per week. For brand-new knitters, your hands and tension control improve fastest when you practice while still slightly “fresh.” If you only have one day, do a 10-minute warm-up swatch before you work on your project.
Do I need special yarn or needles?
Materials Beginner
No special kit is required. For your first project, choose a smooth, light-colored yarn (it makes stitch anatomy easier to see) and medium needles (around 4.5–5.5 mm). Avoid very dark yarns and fuzzy fibers at the start—those hide your mistakes and slow learning.
Avoid: eyelash / mohair for first swatches Best: plied worsted in a solid color
Do you provide certificates of completion?
Progress Profile
Yes. When you finish all checkpoints in a course, you can generate a completion certificate. It’s designed for personal progress tracking and sharing in knitting communities. If you need a certificate with a specific name format, send us the exact spelling using the form on this page.
Can I pause and resume lessons?
Access Progress
Absolutely. Your place is saved per lesson and per timestamp. If you switch devices, the next time you open a lesson it picks up where you left off. If you prefer to restart a section (for example, after changing needle size), you can reset just that checkpoint.
How fast do you reply to support requests?
Support Time
Typical reply time is under 12 hours on weekdays. For “stuck on a step” questions, attach a photo and mention your yarn weight and needle size—those two details speed up troubleshooting dramatically.
Is my payment and account information secure?
Billing Privacy
We don’t store full card numbers on this site. Payment processing is handled by a compliant provider, and we only keep the minimum needed for receipts and account access. For privacy requests, use the contact form and select “Data & privacy.”
Do courses include downloadable patterns?
Projects Downloads
Many courses include project patterns as PDFs, plus a “recipe view” you can keep open on your phone. If you search for “pattern” you’ll also find notes on reading charts, abbreviations, and sizing adjustments.
